Iranian missiles hit targets in occupied territories with greater ease than in the 12-day war
TEHRAN - Iran's Armed Forces appear to have got the hang of how to effectively hit designated targets in the occupied territories, applying lessons gained during the 12-day war in June 2025.
In attacks conducted against the occupied territories on Saturday, Sunday, and the early hours of Monday, Iran achieved a higher success rate with fewer missiles than at the corresponding point in the summer war, despite maintaining continuous attacks on Israel since first targeting it around noon on Saturday.
Western journalists deployed in the occupied territories, as well as Israeli reporters featured on Persian-speaking, Western-based TV channels, have confirmed that Iran has "changed its tactics" in its current confrontation against the U.S. and Israel. They report that air sirens are almost constantly blaring, and that Israelis have been spending entire days and nights in shelters.
In a video message, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters told Israelis that the air sirens would “never turn off” and that they must think about leaving the occupied territories.
The limited footage that makes it to social media—despite heavy censorship by the regime—also confirms that Iranian missiles are hitting their targets with ease. One video shows at least 10 interceptor missiles attempting to engage an Iranian missile in the early hours of Monday before the projectile hits its ground target. Another shows at least 8 interceptor missiles fired into the sky in different directions, with the missile in question nowhere to be seen. The missile is only noticed by the camera person when it hits the ground, as the interceptors are still flying overhead.
During the afternoon, Iran hit the Israeli military's communications complex in Beersheba, in addition to more than 20 other sites across Tel Aviv, West Jerusalem, and the so-called Galilee in the occupied territories.
Iranian officials previously stated they had learned valuable lessons during the war that the U.S. and Israel imposed on Iran back in summer. They said they would make use of those lessons if forced to respond to another wave of U.S.-Israeli aggression.
