Clinton Signs Onto International Criminal Court

WASHINGTON -- President Bill Clinton on Sunday authorized the United States to sign a treaty creating a permanent international court to try war crimes and genocide, CNN television reported, cited by AFP. The treaty still has to be ratified by the U.S. Senate. To date, only 27 out of 136 countries adhering to the international criminal court have ratified the statute.
