TEHRAN Labor Minister Hossein Kamali said here on Wednesday that economic indicators show that the country's production and occupation status will be improved during the next few years.

He stressed that improvement in those indicators will be followed by a boost in the economic condition of the country.

Addressing members of the Islamic Associations of Factories of Khorasan and Mazandaran provinces, Kamali said that the improvement in the Islamic Republic's economic status will be resulted from an increase in oil revenues and the efforts made by the government to reform the economic structure of the country over the past few years.

Referring to the task of Islamic associations as crucial, the minister said there are a number of problems in the society, the roots of many of which are cultural.

He called on the revolutionary institutions, particularly the Islamic associations to help the government and the executive organs to settle the existing problems facing the nation.

Underlining the need for mass participation of workers in the upcoming presidential election slated for June 8, he said members of the Islamic associations should brief the workers on the importance of the elections and their votes, IRNA said.
