U.S. to Apologize for Slavery: Fox News
Racism that is scheduled to be held in Durban, South Africa, it now seems probable that the United States will reach an agreement with the African countries and apologize to them for slavery, according to the Fox news network.
The U.S. had previously announced that it would not attend the conference if the issues of reparations for slavery and condemning Zionism as racism were on the conference agenda.
According to the Fox news network, although it obviously condemns slavery, in the new U.S. proposal to the conference, there is nothing indicating an apology or calling slavery a horrible crime against humanity because the U.S. believes that mentioning the word slavery in this proposal would pave the way for numerous claims in the future.
According to the same network, Ahmed Ben Bella, one of the leaders who fought for Algeria's independence, had said that the West should confess to its involvement in slavery and forgive the debts of the African countries as reparation and that the Western countries should confess that their acts of colonialism and slavery in Africa were crimes against humanity.
Ben Bella also had said that since the so-called massacre of Jews during World War II was recognized as a crime against humanity, the killing of millions of Africans during the slavery era should also be recognized as a crime against humanity.
