Iran Should Reconsider Policy Toward London and Buenos Aires

The July 1994 bombing of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) in Buenos Aires which left 85 Jews dead and some 200 injured was seized as a golden opportunity by the Zionist regime, the Argentine political circles and related media in a bid to accuse Iran of supporting terrorism.

The Zionist regime and its satellite circles in Bonus Aires thought that the accusation could tarnish Iran’s political image in the world scene. Meanwhile, they reckoned that accusing Iran would impair the ever-increasing relations between the country and Argentina.

With the supports of U.S. and biased media, the Zionist regime has every once in a while, launched a legal proceeding against Iran in Argentina.

Recently, the Israeli regime has beefed up efforts particularly, by forwarding the blast case to the Argentine Judge Juan José Galeano. Galeano has conducted a nine-year investigation which led only to international arrest warrants of four Iranian officials.

As a matter of fact, the AMIA case even if left on Judge Galeano’s desk forever, would never yield any fruit for him. Because, basically, no crime has ever been committed and as a result, there would not be any evidence to be found.

Under such circumstances as always before, the Western supporters of the Zionist state could sit and wait for the right moment to instigate a disinformation propaganda war against Iran. But, in the case of the Argentine bombing issue the British Government lacked the necessary insight.

In one of its latest issues, Pagina 12, a daily published in Buenos Aires revealed that the Argentine Intelligence Service top officials, Judge Juan José Galeano and the chairman of the Argentine Union of the Zionist Organizations were the main elements behind the case against Iran.

According to the paper, the director and other high-ranking officials of the Argentine intelligence agency recently disclosed that they intervened in the natural trend of the case and diverted its normal procedure. They conceded to the fact that they had got support from the Zionist circles.

The AMIA case is another manifestation of the worthless daily accusations leveled against Iran by the Zionists and their Western supporters. However, the governments in Argentina and Britain should be held accountable for their irresponsible measures.

Definitely, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s future approach toward London and Buenos Aires would not be the same as it was before the AMIA case ballyhoo.
