Iran Has Had Transparent Cooperation With IAEA: French FM

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency)—French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin said here Saturday that Iran has shown a transparent cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding its nuclear energy program.

Villepin said that Iran had supplied the IAEA with complete and transparent information about its nuclear plans, according to the BBC.

He said France is very pleased that Iran is going to sign the additional protocol of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), adding that European countries are ready to cooperate with Iran on all areas.

Villepin added that all countries, including Iran, are entitled to the right to develop nuclear technology.

He further stressed that the world should adopt a comprehensive strategy against terrorism, stressing that countries cannot take independent measures to that effect. HL/ End MNA
