MELBOURNE (Reuters) -- Leisel Jones of Australia set a short-course world record in the women's 200 meters breaststroke at the World Cup on Saturday.

Jones's time of two minutes 17.75 seconds bettered the previous mark of 2:18.86 achieved by China's Qi Hui in Shanghai last year.

Jones, 18, also set a world record in the 100 meters breaststroke on Friday.
