Yazd to host South African Film Week in late May
Several documentaries and feature-length movies produced in Africa are to be screened at the Yazd Scientific and Applied University.
The Documentaries include “Conversation on a Sunday Afternoon” by Khalo Matabane, and “The Mother’s House” by Francois Verster.
The 2005 best foreign film Oscar nominee “Yesterday” by Darrell James, and “Forgiveness”, produced by Ian Gabriel, which was an award winner at the 2004 African film festival, will also be screened during the program.
An exhibition of photography depicting South African culture will be held as a sideline to the event.
The program is cosponsored by the African Embassy in Tehran, Yazd Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Yazd Provincial office and municipality.
