Arvand’s PVC project over 70% complete

TEHRAN (PIN)– Construction of PVC plant of Arvand Petrochemical Complex located at Bandar Imam Special Economic Petrochemical Zone has progressed 70.04 percent by July 23.

Progress figures for engineering operations, purchase and installation of equipment, as well as civil and construction operations have been mentioned at 99.89 percent, 96.91 percent, and 85.89 percent, respectively.

Arvand Petrochemical Complex is in charge of implementing the eighth olefin plan which includes olefin, PVC and monoethylene glycol plants, at Bandar Imam Special Economic Petrochemical Zone, Petroenergy Information Network said on Tuesday.

Polyvinyl chloride plant of Arvand Petrochemical Complex will enjoy annual production capacity of 340,000 tons and its contract was signed in early November 2003 with Germany’s Uhde and Iran’s Sazeh companies as contractors for basic and detailed engineering operations.

Products of the eighth olefin plant will be used to produce various kinds of pipes, thermal insulators, kitchenware and utensils, toys and detergents.
