ARDEBIL (IRNA) -- Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Afshar Soleymani said that Tehran-Baku relations in trade, science and industries sectors should expand.

Speaking at a meeting with the governor-general of Ardebil province, Ali Nikzad, on Thursday, he said that holding exhibitions on the potentials of this province in Azerbaijan will pave the way for promoting export of Iranian products to the Central Asian market.

Turning to the measures so far taken to introduce Iranian goods to Azeri market as insufficient, he said that centering on cultural and religious aspects on the sidelines of such exhibitions can be quite effective and fruitful.

He declared the readiness of Iran's Embassy in Baku to help arrange such an exhibition.

For his part, Nikzad called for multifaceted cooperation of Iran's Embassy in Azerbaijan to hold the exhibition to the optimum.

"The event will provide a proper opportunity to present the capabilities of Iranian producers and their readiness to attend the international markets," added the official.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Ardebil Province International Exhibitions Company Mir-Jamaleddin Alavi said that 80 producers will attend the exclusive exhibition on the provincial capabilities, which is due to be held at the Azeri capital of Baku. He said, "Major Iranian producers and provincial industrialists will participate in the upcoming exhibition (September1-4)."

The exhibition will mainly center on various industries, auto-manufacturing, dam-building as well as export of fruits, medical equipment and other industrial and technological products.

"Given the potentials of provincial producers and commonalities between the two countries, the exhibition is expected to be warmly welcomed," concluded the official.
