Syrian minister discusses tourism ties in Tehran

DAMASCUS (SANA) – Tourism Minister Saadallah Agha al-Qala'a discussed with several Iranian officials on Tuesday the new facilities given to tourists in Syria and the procedures taken so far to implement the tourism programs of religious visits.
Agha al-Qala'a reviewed with Iranian investors and owners of tourism companies the new horizons of the Memos of Understanding to be signed between Syria and Iran on Wednesday.
"These Memos will allow more than 4,000 tourism companies to organize tourism trips include religious, cultural, historic, and other kinds of tourism," the Minister said during the meeting.
He pointed out to the procedures taken by the Syrian government to improve tourism services, particularly at the religious places. "The new investment facilities and tax exemptions contributed a lot in attracting great investments that will improve the Syrian tourist product," he added.
