TEHRAN -- A 25-volume Iranian calligraphy encyclopedia has been prepared by Tehran’s Pars Art Gallery, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Saturday.
The encyclopedia contains biographies of master calligraphers and reproductions of their original works kept in private collections, museums, and libraries.
Veteran calligraphers such as Mohammad Ehsaii, Gholam-Hossein Amirkhani, Mohammad Hosseini Movahhed, and Gholamreza Mosha’shaei helped compile the encyclopedia and verify the originality of the works.
The collection features works from the ninth century to modern times.
