Quake shakes southern Iran

TEHRAN (IRIB) -- A moderate temblor measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale rattled the city of Mamasani and its vicinity in the southern province of Fars Tuesday morning.

The provincial seismological base, affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, registered the tremor at 07:33 hours local time (0403 GMT).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in an area measuring 51.7 degrees in longitude and 30.09 degrees in latitude, the report added.

There are no reports of any casualty or damage.
