TEHRAN -- Iranian director Ensieh Shah-Hosseini’s “Good Night Commander” has received the Special Award of the 12th Cinema Tout Ecran International Festival of Film and Television held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5 in Geneva, southwestern Switzerland.

The film previously won an award at the 41st Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic as well as the Best Actress Award at the third Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan.

“Good Night Commander” stars Ladan Mostofi as a female war correspondent on the front during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

Sponsored by the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO), the film is slated to be screened in Iran during Noruz (Iranian New Year) holidays, late March 2007.
