France to award best French-Farsi literary translations

TEHRAN -- The French Embassy is to present awards here for selected literary translations from French into Farsi.

The competition will include works published after Jan. 1, 2000.

Headed by Reza Seyyed-Hosseini and French author Jean-Pierre Remy, the jury is comprised of Iranian literati Media Kashigar, Lili Golestan, and Abolhassan Najafi.

Each publisher or translator may submit maximum three works to the cultural section of the embassy no later than March 1.
