TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel is scheduled to embark on a tour to the Philippines and Kuwait respectively from June 5, it was announced on Saturday.

The visits will take place at the invitation of his Kuwaiti and the Philippine counterparts.

A number of political and economic officials and Majlis representatives will accompany Haddad-Adel.

The Iranian Majlis speaker is to confer with his Philippine counterpart on expansion of parliamentary cooperation and then would attend the 100th anniversary establishment of the Philippine Parliament where he would deliver a key note speech.

After three-day visit to the Philippines, the Iranian Parliament speaker will head to Kuwait starting from June 9 for a two-day visit.

Iranian diplomat will hold talks with Kuwaiti high-ranking officials on boosting of relations as well as regional and international developments.
