TEHRAN -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has officially appointed Mostafa Borujerdi as Iran’s permanent representative to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the president office said in a report on Saturday.

Borujerdi had previously served as Iran’s ambassador to Vatican and Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Madagascar.
