TEHRAN -- The Persian version of Jose Saramago’s “The World’s Biggest Flower” translated by Ramin Mowlaii is to be published by Showla Publications in the near future.

According to the Persian Service of ISNA Mowlaii announced that the publication of the book has been held up by a two year delay in the issue of a license. José de Sousa Saramago (1922) is a Nobel-laureate Portuguese writer. “The World’s Biggest Flower” is the only book he has written for children. Mowlaii has previously translated two of Ana Maria Matute’s works, namely “Stowaway on Ulysses” and “Sleeping Beauty’s True Story” and Mario Vargas Liosa’s “Letters to a Young Novelist”. His translation of Dino Buzzati’s young adult’s book “The Bear’s Famous Invasion of Sicily” is to be published soon. He is also translating two children’s books by Carlos Ruiz Zafon entitled “The Prince of Mist” and “Midnight’s Palace”
