TEHRAN -- The Leader of the Aref Band, Parviz Meshkatian announced on Monday that it will be performing concerts in several Iranian cities in November.

He went on to say that the band is currently rehearsing and that performances will be held in Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahwaz and Kermanshah.
He added that they will probably hold open-air shows at the mausoleums of Khayyam in Neyshabur and Ferdowsi in Tus and also at Persepolis in Shiraz.
On the subject of the band’s long absence from public appearances, he said that there had been interruptions in some of the band’s activities but the members of the group had always been working together.
Meshkatian, who plays the santur, remarked that holding performances in different cities is a good experience both for the band and for the audiences, and helps transfer the culture of music to young people
