Iranian oilfield Abuzar output surpasses 0.2m bpd

TEHRAN – Iran’s Abuzar oilfield increased its daily production from 130,000 to over 200,000 barrels as its development plan was implemented, the project manager announced here on Saturday.
Talking to MNA, Mohammad-Hossein Bakhodaii added that the development of the oilfield took 13 years, saying a halt occurred in 2001 due to financial problems.Pointing to the processing projects of the oilfield, he said that the projects are valued at $216 million.
The Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) will soon be the contractor of the projects, he announced, saying 90 percent of the field’s operations was done by Iranian experts.
Abuzar oilfield is located in the northwest of the Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf.
