TEHRAN -- Three plays are currently being staged in Tehran’s Honar, Molavi and Niavaran halls.

“The Tot Family” written by Hungarian playwright Istvan Orkeny (1912-1979) and directed by Maedeh Tahmsebi is on stage at the Niavaran Cultural Center.
Farhad Aiish, Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaii, Leili Rashidi, Ahmad Mehranfar and Ramin Naser Nasir are among the actors.
“The Tot Family” narrates the story of a family whose son is at the warfront. The town’s postman receives the news that their son has been killed.
The play will be on stage until December 4 at the center which is located on Pasdaran Ave, northern Tehran.
The puppet show “The Game of the Boy and the Wolf” directed by Javad Zolfaghari is being staged at the Honar Hall.
The play is written by Zolfaghari and Shadi Purmehdi and the puppeteers include Morteza Saeidian, Hossein Zeinali, Mina Shojaeian and Hedyeh Hajtaheri.
The play features the story of an old woman and her son who live in a small village. They have several sheep and the skinny son takes the sheep out to graze every day. One day he sees a wolf and so the story continues ......
“The Game of the Boy and the Wolf” will be on stage until December 8 at the Honar Hall located on Varzandeh St., Mofatteh Ave.
“Tehran 2006-2007” directed by Ahmad Kechachian is on stage at the Molavi Hall.
The play is written by Kechachian and Bahareh Katuzi and the actors include Mohsen Rastegar, Nazgol Naderian, Sarvenaz Nankeli, Mehrdad Iranmanesh and Mohsen Nuri.
“Tehran 2006-2007” narrates the story of a Tehrani citizen who has a car accident on Hafez St. A few minutes before his death his soul takes a trip to a cemetery.
The play will be on stage until December 16 at the Molavi Hall located on 16th Azar St., Enqelab Ave.
