“Yusuf and Zulaikha” stage props to become museum pieces

TEHRAN –- The stage props used in the “Yusuf and Zulaikha” TV series filmed on location at the Sacred Defense Center for the Iranian Motion Picture Industry are to be kept at the venue.

The Director of Iran's Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization’s (ICHTO) Museum Department Masud Nosrati announced that the props will be put on display as a museum collection, IRNA reported on the ICHTO website on February 22.
Directed by Farajollah Salahshur, the TV series “Yusuf and Zulaikha” will be aired from March 2008 by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
“Yusuf and Zulaikha” is the Quranic tale about the Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) and an Egyptian chief minister’s wife, Zulaikha who fell in love with him and attempted to seduce him.
