TEHRAN -- The ground should be prepared for joint investments by Iranian and Omani businessmen, Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki said here on Monday.

“The outlook of cooperation between the two countries is bright,” Mottaki said in a meeting with visiting Omani Minister of Oil and Gas, Muhammad bin Hamad bin Sayf al-Rumhi.
There has been no discord between Tehran and Muscat over the years, and this shows that the bilateral ties can have a great leap in the future, he noted.
Al-Rumhi praised good relations between Iran and Oman. However, he said the two countries’ economic relations are not as desirable as the political ones.
“We should try to make use of all the potentials and increase cooperation,” he added
