TEHRAN -- Iran exports portion of its oil to the South East Asian countries in Asian Currency Unit (ACU), deputy director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) for International Marketing Affairs, Mohammad-Ali Khatibi said here on Friday.

The U.S. recession and the fall of U.S. dollar has affected the international market which, in turn, affected oil exports, therefore we have embarked on selling oil products in other currencies such as euro and the Japanese Yen, he told Moj news agency.
“Currently, 65 percent of oil products of Iran are exported based on euro and 15 percent based on Yen,” he added.
