Iran allocates $110m to airport renovation and parts purchase

TEHRAN -- Over $109.6 million has been allocated to renovation and part purchase for the country’s airports, Managing Director of State Airports Company, Asghar Ketabchi said here on Saturday.

Approximately $65.7 million of this figure will be allocated for expansion projects and renovation, while about $43.9 million will be spent for purchasing parts, he said on the sideline of the “Chabahar, Transit and Development of the Eastern Corridor” conference held in Tehran, IRNA reported.
“This budget has been mostly allocated to the Isfahan, Mashhad, Tabriz and especially the Imam Khomeini airports.”
He also noted that 55 airport terminal projects were underway throughout the country that will gradually become operational
