TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, said on Monday that recent claims made by two Afghan newspapers against Iran should not be considered worthy.

The Afghan newspaper, Anis, claimed in its Sunday edition that Iran has changed into a transit route for terrorists to enter Afghanistan.
Also the Kabul-based daily, Erada, claimed on the same day that Iran has decided to turn Afghanistan into an inferno for the NATO forces.
“We are living in a free world with different newspapers which have different interests,” Qashqavi said.
He stressed that even western states have admitted and praised Iran’s key role in maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan.
“Afghanistan is a dear neighbor to Iran and its peace and stability is the peace and stability of Iran,” Qashqavi reiterated.
