Promotion of Iran-Arab League cooperation will doubtlessly be an asset to establishment of security and tranquility in the Mideast region.

In a meeting held on the sidelines of the 63rd annual session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki and Arab League chief Amr Moussa addressed the latest international as well as regional developments.
The two diplomats referred to the paramount significance of Arab League-Tehran cooperation for the sake of peace and stability in the Middle East region. They also touched on Iran's key role in assisting the establishment of tranquility in the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Persian Gulf as well as the Mideast regions.
“Terrorism knows no boundaries. The return of extremism - supported by certain Western states - will have a negative impact upon regional as well as extra-regional interests,” Mottaki underscored.
During the meeting, the two also called for stepped-up efforts aimed at supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation versus the occupying Zionist regime.
