TEHRAN -- On the occasion of the first demise anniversary of Allameh Seyyed Morteza Asgari, a commemoration ceremony is to be held on October 5, 2008.

Organized by the Ahl-ul-Bait World Assembly, the ceremony is to be held at Tehran University’s Ferdowsi hall.
Being attended by numbers of great Islamic figures from different countries, the one-day ceremony is to be held in a bid to introduce the great top Shia cleric to the Islamic World.
Cleric Asghari participated great deal in scientific, social, cultural, and political arenas, secretary general of Ahl-ul-Bait World Assembly Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari said here on Monday.
Cooperation in the establishment of the Islamic Dawa Party, and Ulema Association in Iraq, and establishment of several Islamic schools in cities including Baghdad and Samara were among his achievements, Akhtari told reporters.
He also established several faculties of religious studies in Baghdad, Najaf, Tehran, and several hospitals in Iraq.
