Intelligence minister says Iran is among safe countries

TEHRAN -- Iranian Intelligence Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei has stated that Iran is among the world’s safe countries.
He made the remarks in an interview with the Mehr News Agency.With monitoring the enemy’s movements and the opposition inside the country and also the security situation in the neighboring countries one can say Iran is among the “world’s safe countries” if not one of the safest countries, he pointed out.
Commenting on political and security progress after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he said with a look at the situation in the past and present, Iran’s progress becomes evident.
Mohseni Ejei said that Iran enjoys a high level of security despite all conspiracies aimed at undermining the country’s security.
Despite all the incidents in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq which share border with Iran, the Iranian side of the borders have the essential security, he noted.
