TEHRAN -- World-renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi plans to make a TV series on Prophet Muhammad (S).

A feature-length version will also be produced from the series, tentatively named “Hazrat Muhammad (S)”, MNA reported on Sunday.
However, the report gave no information about its source and when the project would begin.
Majidi, director of the Oscar-nominated feature “Children of Heaven,” will hire an Iranian-foreign cast for the project, which is to focus on the life of the Prophet (S) from childhood until his appointment to prophethood.
Shooting will be carried out in Iranian and foreign locations. Over the past few years, Majid has visited several countries to find suitable locations for the serial.
Syrian filmmaker Moustapha Akkad’s “The Message,” also known as “Muhammad, Messenger of God,” is the most notable film ever produced in the world about the Holy Prophet (S).
