Iran to play Belgium in 2009 FIVB Junior Volleyball

TEHRAN - Iran is scheduled to play Belgium on Friday in its opening game of the 2009 FIVB Men’s Junior Volleyball World Championship.

A total of 16 teams will take part in the competitions which takes place from July 31 to August 9 in Pune, India.
Iran will play Belgium, China and Egypt in the preliminary round in three successive days.
Iran, who has won the bronze medal in the previous edition, has been drawn into an easy Pool B with China, Egypt (10th-place finisher in the last edition) and Belgium.
The preliminary round will have a total 24 matches, with the first and second finishers in each pool moving on to Pools E and F in the second round
