Ahmadinejad: Iran is most important country in Mideast

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday described the Islamic Republic of Iran as the most important country in the Middle East, the most sensitive and crucial region in the world.
""Today all politicians and all people who want to have a say in the world need the Iranian nation,"" Ahmadinejad said, addressing a gathering of Iranian officials in the southern province of Fars.""The Middle East is considered as the center of the world civilization, energy and riches and its most important junction, and any one willing to play an effective role in the world is obliged to be present in the Middle East,"" he added.
""The Middle East is the most important region in the world and the Islamic Republic of Iran is the most important country of the Middle East,"" he boasted.
The president also underlined that the Iranian nation is speedily transforming into a live and ideal role model for the other countries, and stated that Iran is now standing at an outstanding historical and international juncture.
He urged the Iranian officials to continue resistance against the different plots hatched by the enemies of the country.
