Returning to negotiating table retrograde step: MP

TEHRAN, July 2 (MNA) – MP Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh has stated that it is a retrograde step for Iran to resume negotiations over its nuclear program.
The Tehran nuclear declaration calls on the West to acknowledge Iran’s nuclear program and to abandon its confrontational approach, Falahatpisheh, a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said here on Friday. The fact that the West has adopted a fourth round of sanctions resolution against Iran, represents a clear departure from the conditions set forth by the Tehran declaration, he noted.
The MP maintained that in the present political climate, returning to the negotiating table is a retreat and not in Iran’s best interests.
He went on to say that the priorities of two sides for resuming the talks over Iran’s nuclear program are conflicting.
Iran demands that the West suspend the implementation of the anti-Iranian resolution, while they still concern themselves with the issue of nuclear fuel for Tehran reactor, he observed.
