Customs director uninformed about export of gasoline!
Iran Customs Administration director general Ardeshir Mohammadi has said he is not informed about the export of gasoline to other countries. On Sunday Ahmadinejad said, “Not only do we produce the gasoline we need, but we also export gasoline to other countries.”Minority faction denounces disrespect to reformist MP
Secretary General of the Majlis minority faction, Mohammad Reza Tabesh, has strongly responded to disgraceful move against reformist MP Ahmadreza Dastgheib. A principlist MP has recently slapped Dastgheib in the face and has insulted him in the Majlis. In his recent meeting with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Tabesh protested to the move and said if the Majlis presiding board had properly responded to the previous extremist actions against reformist MPs, no one would have dared to insult and beat a reformist MP in the Majlis.
Khatami advisor says reformists will return to political scene
Mostafa Derayati, an advisor to former president Mohammad Khatami, has commented that the reformists’ current silence is not due to “political lassitude” or lack of public support, but that reformists has chosen to remain silent because in the current political situation taking any political stance can prove too costly. Derayati has also emphasized that reformists will come back to the country’s political scene whenever they see the groundwork is prepared.
Expert not optimistic about return of reformists to power
Distinguished political analyst Sadeq Zibakalam believes reformists should not be hopeful that they can come to power once again. Zibakalam has said elimination of opposition groups and single party rule will undermine public confidence in the system, however, in the current political situation it seems a remote possibility that reformists can come back to power.
