-- Iran’s flag was raised in the Asian Games Village in Guangzhou, China on Tuesday as a prelude to the opening ceremony of the 2010 Asian Games which will be held on Friday.

Iran will take part in the games with 370 athletes.
The event is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 27 in Guangzhou, the second city in China to host the games after Beijing in 1990.
Athletes from 45 countries will compete in a total of 476 events in 42 sports making it the largest competition in the history of the Asian Games.
