TEHRAN -- Italian harpist Valentina Meinero and Russian pianist Sergey Beskov will be joining the Iranian Chang Ensemble to perform several pieces by Iranian composer Ali Radman this summer.

All musical pieces have been composed by Radman. The audiences will get a chance to listen to a new type of music with a combination of Iranian and western musical instruments, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Tuesday.
“Meinero had previously traveled to Iran in February where she performed a selection of my compositions. The concert was warmly welcomed and we planned to repeat the performance in summer with more musicians,” he said.
The program is due to be performed in several other Iranian cities and there are plans to perform the concert in a few other countries as well, he added.
Radman who is the director of Music College of Tehran’s Azad University said that he is planning to hold a workshop reviewing contemporary music in the coming weeks.
