Iranian cartoonists awarded at Chinese competition

TEHRAN -- Five Iranian cartoonists were awarded at the 1st Gold Panda International Cartoon and Illustration Competition which was held in Guangxi City, China.
Masud Ziaii, Shahram Rezaii, Mohammad-Ali Khalaji, Rahim Baqqal-Asghari and Mohammad Akbari were among 30 participants who won the special prize of jury meeting.
Works competed in two sections; works with “Panda, Our Best Friend” and free theme.
Iran develops first computer game on oil industry
TEHRAN -- Iran has developed the first computer game on the theme of the oil industry under the title of “The Black Gold”.
Produced by the Iran National Foundation of Computer Games, the game is developed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of drilling the first oil well in the Middle East.
The game will be offered at Iran’s 1st festival of computer games which will be held from April 24 to May 2 at Milad Tower, Tehran.
Bucharest IFF to show “Nader and Simin” in special screening
TEHRAN -- The Iranian award-winning film “Nader and Simin: A Seperation” by Asghar Farhadi will go on screen at the Bucharest International Film Festival (Bucharest IFF).
The festival, which will run until April 17, is dedicating a special screening session for the film.
A portrayal of the break-up of a marriage, “Nader and Simin: A Separation” won a Golden Bear for the best film at the Berlin film festival and its cast ensemble received best actor and actress Silver Bears at the event..
