TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has highlighted the need for an increased vigilance against divisive plots hatched by the enemies of Islam intended to provoke Shia-Sunni conflict and create discord between Arab and non-Arab nations.

Salehi made the remarks during a meeting with the chairman of the Indonesian Ulama Council, Umar Shihab, in Tehran on Sunday.
Shihab also underscored the importance of the Islamic unity, saying that the exchange of visits between the Islamic countries’ scholars can pave the way for developing closer ties between the Islamic nations.
