TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry, in a statement released on the anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, has called for the prosecution of the perpetrators of the genocide.

The Islamic Republic of Iran offers sympathy with the families of the victims and condemns inaction and silence of the then officials of Western governments and international organizations, the statement read.
The statement also said that Iran once again calls for the prosecution and punishment of the perpetrators of the genocide and expects international forums and the world’s countries, especially Islamic nations, to try to restore the rights of the victims and prevent repetition of a similar humanitarian catastrophe.
