TEHRAN – Iranian director Bahram Beizaii’s acclaimed drama “Bashu, the Little Stranger” will go on screen on June 6 in Iran 26 years after its premiere in 1989.

The film tells the story of a young boy whose parents are killed in an air raid in the southern Iranian province of Khuzestan during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

However, he gets on a cargo truck to take refuge in a village in the north where he would be safe, and is taken in by a middle-aged woman.
