TEHRAN – An Italian translation of “The Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran” has recently been published in Rome.

Raffaele Mauriello, an Italian professor at the Faculty of World Studies at the University of Tehran, is the translator of the book.

It was published by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) in collaboration with the Link Campus University in Rome, ICRO announced in a press release on Monday.

The book was introduced during a seminar attended by Iranian and Italian scholars at the university on June 26.

Speaking at the seminar, director of the university Vincenzo Scotti called the translation the best means to boost relations between Iran and Italy.

Guido Alpa, a professor of civil law at the La Sapienza University in Rome, said that the book is regarded as an asset for the legal culture of Italy and helps strengthen bilateral ties.

Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Italy Qorbanali Purmarjan also attended the seminar and said that it will help provide the ground for exchange of knowledge and experience between the jurists of the two countries.
