TEHRAN - President Hassan Rouhani says Tehran is seeking a commercialization of nuclear industry following the nuclear accord between Iran and the 5+1 group of world powers.

“[The United Nations Security Council] resolution 2231 not only recognizes our nuclear program, but also urges the world powers to cooperate with Iran,” he told reporters in the western city of Hamadan on Tuesday.

Iran will start nuclear energy commercialization by importing yellow cake and exporting enriched UF6, the president said.

Rouhani also stressed that “under BARJAM [an Iranian acronym for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)], the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to use a new technology in the Arak nuclear complex in coordination with two members of the P5+1 group.”

Rouhani also expressed the hope that the JCPOA is fully implemented and Iran can attract more foreign investment.

The president also hailed the efforts of Iran’s negotiating team during the nuclear talks with the world powers, saying that the Iranian nation should be informed about the “great work” of the country’s diplomats.
