TEHRAN – The 3rd Grand Festival of Art for Peace has awarded President Hassan Rouhani a peace medal during its closing ceremony, which was held at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on Monday.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Ali Moradkhani, Niavaran Cultural Center Director Seyyed Abbas Sajjadi and several other cultural officials.

The festival promoting the culture of peace and a world without violence displayed a variety of artworks in categories of photography, painting, sculpture and graphic design.

Over 150 works by 150 veterans and novices, including Parviz Tanavoli, Nasrollah Afjei, Mohammad Ehsaii, Jazeh Tabatabaii and Mohsen Vaziri-Moaqaddam were on display at the event.

The event was organized by the prominent artists in collaboration with several art galleries and organizations as well as the Mahak Charity Society, a Tehran-based major medical center for children with cancer.
