Iran’s Khalvandi and Hosseinipanah bag gold medals at IPC Athletics World Championships

Mohammad Khalvandi and Mohsen Hosseinipanah took two gold medals at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships which got underway in Doha, Qatar.
London 2012 gold medallist Khalvandi won the gold medal in the men’s javelin F57 with a throw of 43.76m.Syria’s Mohamad Mohamad seized a silver with 41.85m and bronze medal went to Brazil’s Claudiney Batista dos Santos with 41.70m.
Hosseinipanah also won a gold medal in the men’s shot put F35 with a throw of 14.02m.
Latvia’s Edgars Bergs seized the silver medal with 14.00m.
Russia’s European champion Alexander El’Min claimed the bronze medal with 13.87m.
Sajad Mohammadian (shot put F42), Ali Mohammadyari (discus throw F56 ) and Saman Pakbaz (shot put F12) have won three silver medals so far and Mohsen Kaedi claimed a bronze medal in men’s javelin F34.
