Qalibaf: Arba’een turning into anti-oppression move

TEHRAN - The mayor of Tehran has described the Arba’een pilgrimage as turning into an enlightening and anti-oppression move.

Speaking to Mehr in Karbala on Saturday, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said the day of Arba’een was the starting point for the enlightenment of the Islamic society.

Today, after about 1400 years, the Arba’een march brings enlightenment to the Islamic world for all people who are interested in humanity and freedom, he said.

Qalibaf said the move should be safeguarded and highlighted as a great global movement against injustice.
