SARAJEVO The oldest Persian-Arabic-Turkish dictionary is now being kept in Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The valuable book was written in 1464 and 69 years ago a Catholic clergyman bought it from a Muslim. According to a newspaper published in Sarajevo, the dictionary was kept in the library of the Mostar Church and it was transferred to a safe place during Bosnia-Herzegovina civil war.
At present just a handful of clergymen are informed about the place in which the dictionary is kept. It is the most precious Persian-Arabic-Turkish dictionary that several scientists from various universities in the world have requested to make a copy of that.
