Iran and Pakistan ink agriculture and transport agreement

LAHORE: The Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Zulfiqar Khosa signed the ‘Mashhad Declaration’ with Deputy Governor General of Khorasan for increasing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock and dairy development, urban transport and education.
Iran agreed to import 50 tons of meat from Punjab and now both sides will work out the details.
On behalf of the chief minister of the Punjab, the governor general of Khorasan, along with a team of experts on metro transport service and solid waste management for big cities of Punjab like Multan, Gujranwala and Okara have been invited.
Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa who is in Iran along with a high level delegation visited Mashhad and held meetings with Mahmoud Salahi, Governor General of Khorasan-e-Razavi and Mohammad Pazhman, Mayor of Mashhad Qazi Habib-ur-Rehman.
Both sides reviewed the progress made on the previous agreements and discussed ways to expedite the pace of implementation on these agreements.
