TEHRAN – Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani has said that the proposal to form a union between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will fail.

He said, “70 percent of the Bahraini people are Shia. Al Khalifa cannot rule over the people by force, and Arab sheikhs cannot merge Bahrain into Saudi Arabia through holding meetings.”

He added that the “Saudization” of Bahrain will fail and will lead to the collapse of Al Saud.
