TEHRAN - Director General of International Affairs at the Iranian Parliament Hossein Amir Abdollahian has lambasted Washington for what he called “the U.S. lack of commitment to its commitments” to the Syrian truce, saying Washington’ main goal is to eliminate President Bashar al-Assad, according to Fars news agency on Monday. 

“In spite of the ceasefire agreement and its full observance by the Syrian government, the U.S. is not steadfast in its commitments to the deal.. and its main goal is to eliminate President Assad,” he said.
