TEHRAN – A Persian version of English author Constance B. Hieatt’s “Beowulf and Other Old English Poems” has recently been published by Parseh Book Publications in Tehran.
“Beowulf” may be the oldest surviving long poem in Old English by an unknown poet and Hieatt has translated it into Standard English.
Translated into Persian by Abbas Gudarzi, “Beowulf” is a masterpiece of Anglo-Saxton literature that transforms legends, myth, history and ancient songs into the tale of the hero, Beowulf.
